Planning carried out by experienced staff ensures that children’s individual needs and interests are developed and new and appropriate skills introduced. Activities and experiences offered in a play base approach to learning include construction, singing & music, storytelling, “messy” play (painting, collage, playdough), sand & water, computers and role play.
Meals are cooked and served in our kitchen with integral dining area. We encourage children to take part in mealtimes as a social activity and try a range of healthy foods from our planned menus.
The children are able to enjoy meeting visitors who, for example, come to tell us about the jobs they do - our community police officer, fireman and the post lady. We also make visits into the community including trips to library and the new village play park and singing at the neighbouring Abbeyfield home.
